Outreach

The Center seeks to accelerate science and advance national capabilities in sustainable agriculture, expand participation, and foment enthusiasm for STEM disciplines. The Center focuses not only on traditional studies for educational exposure to the field, but also on outreach to groups that can offer much to the progression of cellular agriculture, but which often have limited access to exciting STEM opportunities, such as rural and food-producing communities.

Additionally, the Center dedicates significant research efforts to understanding how alternative agricultural systems might disrupt rural and food-producing communities in the U.S. and abroad and will aim to foster discussion and collaboration with these communities to ensure progress towards an equitable and sustainable food system. TUCCA is a pipeline for establishing a highly trained talent pool that can enter into the workforce with current and future cellular agriculture companies and continue to accelerate the development of these technologies.
