Summary

With cellular agriculture growing worldwide, Tufts' certificate in cellular agriculture is designed to address the industry's need for highly trained professionals in fields as varied as food science, biotechnology, tissue engineering, synthetic biology, biomedical engineering, and more. Current students include federal regulators seeking to deepen their understanding of the field and Boston-area employees at life science companies seeking to pivot into cellular agriculture. 

The interdisciplinary program is administered by the Department of Biomedical Engineering in partnership with the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Engineering, the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.

The four-course certificate in cellular agriculture requires two core courses and two elective courses.
